Nature's most natural sweetener

So what's natures most natural sweetener? Honey
Pure, unadulterated, raw honey.
Honey is nature's oldest and most precious sweetener - given to us by the flowers themselves. It has been used and loved by every culture and every generation in recorded history. It also contains trace minerals, essential oils, enzymes, amino acids, naturally occurring vitamins, and a host of different types of natural sugars.

Honey is also the preferred energy booster for high endurance athletes including swimmers, runners, bikers, and Olympic athletes - because it's unquestionably the healthiest source of quick energy.
What makes honey so unique?

To start with, honey is complex. Over 180 different components have been identified across various types of honey, including:
  • 12 minerals
  • 17 trace elements
  • 18 bioflavonoids (antioxidants)
  • 26 aroma compounds (essential oils)
Raw honey also contains bee pollen which can help with seasonal allergies, and 1000's of enzymes that help your body function more efficiently!
Now, it should go without saying, but the FDA requires I remind you - you can't live on honey alone (or bread, for that fact). So here it is - "Honey is not a significant source of vitamins or minerals."

But... honey has a dirty secret too..

Most of it is fake or adulterated.

Most (over 70%) of the honey in US stores is either fake, adulterated with cheap sugars, or processed to the point that most countries would no longer recognize it as honey (study commissioned by Food Safety News). But don't take my word for it - look it up!

This is why so many people dislike honey
They've never had real honey!
So.. How do I get real honey?
Best Option
Buy directly from a reputable beekeeper.

If you know one, don't let go of them; they're hard to come by.
2nd Best Option
Buy honey strictly made in the US. Most adulterated honey is imported from overseas.
Note: US Grade A does not mean it is US Honey.
3rd Best Option
Raise your own!

If you have the time and space, try backyard beekeeping.
